Feathered Heart locket in 9k yellow gold

This pendant was one of the most technically complex pieces I’ve created.

It took several months to perfect the feather design and their placement. Each feather was individually sculpted and refined before being carefully positioned onto the heart form — a process that required extensive CAD development to ensure the piece would cast successfully. As you can see, I had to create different colour layers for each feather.

There were many challenges along the way. In the end, the pendant was produced in four separate cast components and then meticulously assembled by hand to achieve the final structure and strength. Crafted in 9k yellow gold.

On the outside of the feathered wings sits her Nan’s own diamond — reset into the heart of the design — surrounded by delicate melee diamonds scattered through the feathers to add light and movement.

At the centre sits my clients Nan’s portrait, permanently etched into metal — so she can carry her memory every day.

Commissioned by my client with deep love and intention, this is more than jewellery.
It is memory, engineered in precious metal. 

p.s Nan likes to open her feathered wings on occasion usually when the grandbabies are around.
